Preili as a populated area has ancient history, first written documents about its landlords date back to 1382. Historians regard the Borghs, a noble Count family from Europe, to be the founders of Preili. The family representatives kept house in Preili for about 500 years. This kin formed the historical and cultural center of Preili-the manor complex and the park. During the 20th century the sight of the manor complex buildings and their functional significance changed a lot but nevertheless the people of Preili are still proud of them. The manor and the park have become a favorite place of recreation and sightseeing.
This presentation disk will tell everyone about the historical documents stored at Preili History and Applied Arts Museum, present publications from Preili District Head Library about the history of the Manor Complex and its owners. It will offer a chance to enrich knowledge about Preili and visit its historical places.
